However, as one types China, research on WUE spatio-temporal pattern its mechanism insufficient. In this study, we obtained MODIS net primary productivity (NPP) evapotranspiration (ET) data, used linear trend method calculate interannual rate change characterize trend, applied geographically weighted regression (GWR) model analyze relationship between 10 factors, including climate topography, explore 2000-2019. The results showed that:(1) multi-year mean value was 0.89 2019, showing a decreasing with average annual decrease 0.0028 mm-1, because rising evapotrans piration greater than that productivity; spatial distribution high south low north, 83.5% area trend. (2) analysis drivers based GWR strongest were CO2 concentration precipitation, while topographic factors such elevation slope had weaker effect, human activities smaller positive effect most areas. This study clarifies response forests environmental changes provides scientific basis for development adaptive management measures forests, better utilization mitigating change.
